Mr. Harris About the Director - Matt Harris

All instrumental music at Rochester Adams has been under the direction of Matthew Harris since November 2020. Before becoming head director, he was the assistant director at Rochester Adams and the band director at West Middle school. Matt received his Bachelors of Music Education from Central Michigan University (2010) and his Masters of Music in Saxophone Performance from The University of New Mexico (2012). He taught in Albuquerque, New Mexico for 6 years at John Adams Middle School and West Mesa High School. Matt has played with such musicians as the Temptations, Bobby Shew, Jeff Coffin, and Terri Lynn Carrington. In addition to being a band director he also teaches saxophone and clarinet lessons. His students made it into all state in New Mexico and Michigan.
